Movies, knitting, shopping…
Yesterday afternoon Sean and I decided to go out to eat. Neither of us had ever been to TGI Friday’s before, so we went to the one in Scarsdale. It was pretty good, although they charged us $3 to substitute boneless chicken in our appetizer and then another server took our appetizer anyway, so we had to wait for them to make more boneless chicken. *rolls eyes*
Afterwards we went to the Asian supermarket and I bought some boba green apple tea, which was really yummy. :D Then we drove up to White Plains so we could see a movie. We got there at like 7pm, though, and none of the movies started until 9:30pm or later, so we went SHOPPING!! :D
We walked around in Barnes & Noble for a little while and looked at some books of architecture; there was a really cool one about modern Chinese architecture, which was gorgeous.
Then we went to Felline’s Basement/DSW, where we bought a new sheet set, two shirts for me and a shirt for Sean. (I’ll take pictures in a minute), and then to Target, where we bought a new set of dishes (which are really cute!) and a learn-to-knit kit, hehe. The kit is supposed to teach us to make kitty toys… but it’s really hard, so we’re just practicing knitting scarves at the moment, lmfao.
Anyway… that brought us up to about 9:30pm… We decided to go see Date Movie, that silly movie that is a spoof of romantic comedies or whatever.
So we buy the tickets, which happen to be like $10 each because New York is expensive. Oh well, what can ya do, etc.
We go into the theatre and sit in an empty row, with no one in front of us and the middle aisle-thing behind us (so no one behind us either). We figure, this is going to be great, no one will be around or anything, we can cuddle and just enjoy the movie, yay.
But then as the previews are playing, a bunch of ‘gangsta’-type kids come in and sit in the row RIGHT IN FRONT OF US and start talking REALLY loudly all through the previews. We figure, oh well, they’ll stop when the movie starts, right?
WRONG. The fuckers KEEP TALKING through the first five minutes of the movie, saying shit like “oh man, there’s a white chick in the theatre!” (referring to me–what the fuck? you live in westchester county, new york, and you’ve never seen a white girl before??) and “if you a fat mutha like on da screen, get yo fat ass out da theater.”
I got SO UNBELIEVABLY PISSED. If we had stayed any longer, I would have almost definitely gone nuclear on some stupid gangsta kid ass. But instead we got up and left and got a refund from the theatre, but not before I basically yelled “fucking bastards, I can’t take this stupid shit!”
What the hell? I mean, come on! Are they seriously THAT stupid? It’s fucking ridiculous! yell GRRR!!! How can people be like that, honestly? Do they not have any sense of politeness or decency at all?? Who spends $10 EACH (for like five people!) on a movie you’re going to fucking talk through and make miserable for everyone else in the theatre?!
So yeah… we walked out and got a refund, then went to Blockbuster and rented Along Came Polly, which neither of us had seen, and Bruce Almighty, which Sean hadn’t seen. Then we came home, cuddled and watched them both in the comfort and privacy of our apartment. :)
Today has been a lazy kind of day… I should have worked on some of my homework, but I haven’t felt like it at all, bleh. I know I’ll get caught up by the end of Spring Break… I just need to get some free time in which to relax and devote myself to it… and not have to think about more work coming up in the next couple of days.
Sean and I have started… knitting, haha. GUESS WHICH IS MINE AND WHICH IS SEAN’S!!

It’s so much fun… but it was so hard for me to get the hang of it… >_<
Anyway… that’s the highlights of the past two days, it seems… :P Be back tomorrow, I hope!
